The hotel offered good value for money with lovely staff and clean rooms, although some areas needed updating. The location was excellent, close to popular attractions, but dining options had drawbacks.

The hotel had massive, comfy and clean rooms, but the black mold in the shower was off-putting. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and always willing to help, although their advice on parking could have led to a fine. The location was excellent, with easy access to major attractions. The dining options were good but limited to pre-packaged choices delivered to the room.

Arriving at the hotel after a long day's travel, the room not being ready by 3 was inconvenient. Despite the breathtaking views of the castle from the 7th floor, the room felt overpriced. The hotel is in a prime spot, pretty much on the royal mile and beside Waverley station. The rooms are in need of an upgrade with marks on walls/doors and a poor toilet flush but the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is perfect but showing its age.
